About The Position

Northwell Health's Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is seeking a board eligible/certified Internist, Family Medicine physician, Geriatrician, or Palliative Medicine physician to join the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation in Manhasset, New York. This role involves working in an award-winning 252-bed academic skilled nursing facility that provides short-term sub-acute inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. The ideal candidate will have an interest in academics, transitional care, and sub-acute rehabilitation, and will participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows while engaging in collaborative research opportunities.

Requirements

• Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Subspecialty training and/or board certification in Geriatrics or Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Interest in academics and transitional care.
• Experience in sub-acute rehabilitation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
• Interest in research and academic medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients in the sub-acute unit.
• Participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in collaborative research opportunities at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
