Sterilization Technician Summary: The Sterilization Technician prepares, sterilizes, installs and cleans laboratory or healthcare equipment. Requirements
- Valid 8-Hour Infections Control Certificate OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8-Hour Infection Control Certification
- BLS Certification
- 2-Hour Dental Practice Act Certification
Responsibilities
- Cleans and sterilizes all instruments, operatories and areas that were used in procedures during the day
- Acts as support staff to the RDAs and DAs
- Assists dentists by providing instruments during surgery and using suction to clear the patients mouth
