The Sterilization Specialist 1 is required to operate all material handling equipment such as electric forklifts, stretch wrappers, manual pallet jacks and slip sheeters. This position requires good communication and math skills, as well as a working knowledge of warehouse stock locator systems, bar code systems, and electronic scanners. The role involves moving stock and rotating materials according to FIFO for incoming and outgoing material, arranging material in the sterilizer/warehouse as per Kanban bin requirements, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting in company physical inventories and cycle counts. The position requires working twelve (12) hour shifts, including weekends, and preparing product for sterilization, including staging and sporing. The candidate must be physically and mentally capable of wearing full-face respirators and gas masks, and will support the Sterilization Supervisor and Sterilization Specialists in daily operations and overall performance of the sterilizer.
