About The Position

The Sterile Supply Technician at Alamo Biologics plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely provision of high-quality tissue for transplants. This position is essential for maintaining the standards of sterilization and compliance with internal and external regulations, contributing to the company's mission of improving lives through quality allograft supply.

Requirements

• High School degree, GED or equivalent, college coursework in the life sciences or knowledge of CGMP's and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Comfortable working directly with large equipment and cutting tools.
• Ability to apply training and knowledge to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years' experience in Tissue Banking, central sterile supply, surgical technician, or pharmaceutical or medical manufacturing experience in a sterile environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general lab cleaning, wrapping, sterilization, and maintenance activities.
• Operate steam autoclaves for sterilization of instruments, equipment, and consumable supplies used in the processing of tissue.
• Complete documentation of sterilization activities completely and accurately in electronic records software.
• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, clean, maintain, and monitor equipment and instruments used in sterilization.
• Stock supplies and equipment used in core production.
• Communicate deviations from procedures and abnormalities to responsible parties (Supervisor, Department Management, etc.).
• Safely dispose of hazardous and nonhazardous waste generated during the manufacturing process.
• Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal policies, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as external regulations as determined by regulatory agencies.
