About The Position

The Sterile Supply Solutions Consultant at Aesculap Inc. serves as an expert in healthcare sterile processing and perioperative operations, providing innovative solutions and improvements to healthcare customers. This role involves leading consulting engagements, conducting assessments, and making formal recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and meet client needs. The consultant must possess a blend of analytical, financial, and clinical knowledge to effectively communicate and implement solutions that improve patient care and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 10 years of related healthcare industry experience.
  • Certification in Lean Management or Six Sigma is highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a management position is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Peri-operative Services or Central Service Departments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards (e.g., JCAHO, CMS, OSHA, AAMI, AORN, FDA).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare process improvement is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues and promote cooperation among various functions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a healthcare sterile processing and perioperative operations expert to provide innovative solutions to healthcare customers.
  • Lead various consulting engagements, including preparation, customer communication, onsite assessments, and formal recommendations.
  • Form conclusions, strategies, and recommendations to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Build rapport and credibility with client professionals at various organizational levels.
  • Articulate the benefits of Aesculap consulting solutions and independently address root cause issues and remediation options.
  • Develop tasks and work plans for consulting engagements as needed.
  • Create and deliver presentations to client senior executives.
  • Conduct process mapping and articulate sterile processing and perioperative workflow according to national standards.
  • Manage complex tasks and projects independently, evaluating and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Identify and pitch new business development opportunities with guidance from leadership.
