About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Supply Assistant to join their Surgery team. The ideal candidate has a passion for animals, is eager to improve their skills and learn more about the veterinary health industry, and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, who is organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

Responsibilities

Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery
Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement
Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment
Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures
Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs
Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment
