About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Supply Assistant to join their Surgery team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about animals, eager to enhance their skills within the veterinary health industry, and who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be highly organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through meticulous sterile preparation. Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
- Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
- Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs.
- Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.
