Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
• Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, properly packaged, sterile instruments and supplies to meet individual customer needs.
• Complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique.
• Read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
• Learn and understand medical terminology.
• Maintain Sterile Processing Technician certification.
