Our busy ambulatory surgery center near downtown McKinney, TX, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team on a full-time, part-time, on-call, or as-needed basis. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience in a clinical or surgical setting.
- SPD (Sterile Processing Department) certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control standards.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet when patient or provider needs change
Responsibilities
- Clean, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Inspect and test equipment for proper functionality and safety.
- Support the surgical team by ensuring all sterile supplies are ready and available when needed.
- Maintain inventory, restock, and sort medical equipment ensuring a smooth surgical experience for patients and providers.
- Create and maintain necessary documentation related to work
