About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join a growing Ambulatory Surgery Center team in the Carmel/Westfield area. This role will start part-time with the expectation of transitioning to full-time within 1–2 months. The ideal candidate is committed to ensuring surgical instruments are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for safe and efficient procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to follow strict infection control protocols and sterile technique
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Nice To Haves

• Sterile processing or central service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Organize and maintain sterile instrument sets and trays for upcoming procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Track instrument usage and maintain accurate inventory records
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet procedure schedules
• Assist with room setup and turnover as needed
