About The Position

Summary: Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment. Mon - Fri; 3PM to 11:30PM with rotating weekends after training

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
  • Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
  • Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
