Internal candidates - check with your recruiter to see what options are available for you) This is a full-time, evening-shift position working 2pm-10:30pm with a weekend call and holiday rotation. Call response time is 45 minutes. MUST have a current Missouri Sterile Processing Tech license to qualify Job Summary: Inspects, assembles and evaluates all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure proper sterilization, completeness of set, and to determine need for repair/replacement.

- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- No experience required
- MUST have a current Missouri Sterile Processing Tech license to qualify
Responsibilities
- Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspects instruments, equipment and containers to assure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems.
- Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
