About The Position

Under the direction of the unit team leader, the Sterile Processing Technician
(SPT) receives, decontaminates, reprocesses, and distributes surgical
instruments and equipment; maintains associated equipment and assures
instrumentation and equipment is safe and ready for surgical procedures.
Performs other unit functions appropriate to the position, and in compliance
with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Requirements

• Sterile Processing or peri-op experience required.
• High School diploma or G.E.D required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of advanced education or medical training preferred, i.e., college or technical school courses or job-related training.
