Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent required
• One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
• Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
• Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
• Detail oriented
• Schedule: 63 or 72 hours per pay period: 63 hrs: 7-9 hour variable day/evening shifts Mon-Fri per 2 weeks 72 hrs: 4-9 hour variable day/evening shifts Mon-Fri per week Mon-Fri shifts vary from 6:30a-7p On-call week nights - 1 night per week when fully staffed Every 5th weekend on-call when fully staffed On-call holiday rotation The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department

Responsibilities

• Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
