Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification, required or employed as a central service technician in a healthcare facility for a one-year period from, January 1, 2011 to January 1, 2015 and at least five years of experience in sterile processing.
- Knowledge of instrumentation/equipment and sterile supplies, required.
- Understanding of the principles of electrical and mechanical safety as it pertains to Central Sterile, required.
- Proficient Word, Excel and Outlook skills, required.
- Must obtain a CRCST certification within a year of hiring date.
Responsibilities
- To collect, decontaminate, inspect, lubricate and assemble equipment and instruments following all aspects of standard precaution and infection control.
