Requirements
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other software as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in sterile processing or healthcare is preferred
- Candidates will need to obtain at least one of the following certifications within two years of hire: International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate & Sterilize: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments following department protocols.
- Assemble & Inspect: Organize surgical trays, perform quality checks, and inspect instruments for damage or wear.
- Manage Inventory: Track and manage instrument and implant inventory, reporting any shortages or issues.
- Prepare & Package: Wrap and label instrument sets and trays with precision.
- Ensure Quality: Maintain regular quality control, including daily checks on sterilization equipment.
