About The Position

Providence Surgery and Procedure Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission. Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. Monday-Friday work schedule! NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours! NO call required!

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• Six months of experience, preferred
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Nice To Haves

• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
