About The Position

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location: Simpsonville, South Carolina Employment Type: Contract | Travel Shift: Night Shift Assignment Details Duration: 8 Weeks Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: $22.00 – $27.50 per hour (based on experience) Estimated Weekly Compensation: $1,302.50 – $1,543.13 Weekly Stipend: $340 ($68/day for 5 days) Shift Details Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts Shift Timing: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM Hours per Week: 42.5 hours Call: May be required Floating: Required based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
• Active HSPA (iAHCSMM) Certification
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered based on overall experience

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Prepare instrument trays and surgical case carts for surgical procedures.
• Inspect instruments to ensure proper functionality and cleanliness.
• Maintain sterilization documentation and tracking logs.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Float to other units or campuses as required based on operational needs.
