The Sterile Processing Technician will demonstrate competence in all aspects of sterile processing, decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, sterile storage, and distribution of sterile supplies. The Sterile Processing Technician will collect, sort, decontaminate, sterilize and stores instruments after use. Performs a variety of duties relating to ordering and inventory of instrument and supplies. The technician is responsible for utilizing skills and abilities to provide quality health care in accordance with ASC policies and procedures. They also develop and maintain knowledge to perform as a self-motivated member of the peri-operative team. The technician maintains up to date knowledge of current techniques and procedures at the ASC and demonstrate self-motivation and willingness to be a productive team member. The technician accepts patient care responsibilities and understands the role of obtaining the appropriate equipment and supplies especially in emergency situations. Schedule: Varies 8-10 hours shift M-Th (typical start time 7am)
