About The Position

Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey has an immediate need for a per diem Sterile Processing Technician. At Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey, health and care are inseparable, focusing on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for surgical procedures. The facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program
  • 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers
  • Knows operating room instrumentation
  • Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Nice To Haves

  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
