About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician at Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center is responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instrumentation, ensuring that all supplies and instruments are properly set up for surgical cases. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Computer skills are required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience as an Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation.
• Set up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Prepare reports and keep records related to sterilization and instrumentation.
• Organize and set up operating room instrument trays.
• Adapt to changing conditions of patients as needed.
