Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Certification in surgery technology preferred. If certification is not held at hire, must obtain within 1 year from hire.
• Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program preferred.
• Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment.
• Maintains code carts, chest carts, urology carts.
• Cleans hospital wide equipment as needed.
• On-call on the weekends (24 hours on Saturday/Sunday) every 7 weeks and one holiday per year.
