Sterile Processing Technician I
About The Position
Reprocesses instruments using high level disinfection(HLD) or sterilization techniques according to manufacturers instructions for use (IFU). Work is completed in a collaborative, team based environment. Performs biological and chemical testing on HLD and sterilization equipment. Monitors instrument and supply inventory. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations. Demonstrates commitment to maintaining and improving departmental/unit standards of care and practice. Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a sterile technician in another area of a hospital such as materials management or GI lab is preferred.
Responsibilities

- Maintains an adequate supply of sterile and nonsterile supplies for the department.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of surgical instruments.
- Perform quality testing as recommended per industry standards.
- Performs secretary/clerical functions.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
