About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician I position is responsible for providing essential sterile processing services within the hospital. This includes the assembly, distribution, and storage of medical supplies and equipment, as well as the retrieval of dirty equipment. The role requires the ability to work weekends and holidays, ensuring that the hospital maintains a high standard of sterile processing.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Completion of a Central Service Technician Program/Course or Surgical Technician Program/Course if less than 1 year experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete work assignments.
