About The Position

Internal candidates - check with your recruiter to see what options are available for you) This is a full-time evening-shift position working Mon-Fri from 1pm-9:30pm with weekend and holiday call rotation. Call response time is 45 minutes . MUST have current Missouri Sterile Processing Tech Certification. Job Summary: Inspects, assembles and evaluates all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure proper sterilization, completeness of set, and to determine need for repair/replacement.
Requirements
- MUST have current Missouri Sterile Processing Tech Certification.
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- No experience required
- State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Responsibilities
- Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspects instruments, equipment and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems.
- Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
