About The Position
Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is hiring a Full Time Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. What You Will Do (Job Summary): Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all items pertinent to the operations of the center.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and implements AAMI standards for the sterilization of instruments and supplies.
- Coordinates the availability of instruments/supplies for cases as needed.
- Assures the adequate functioning and cleaning of all autoclaves and other sterilization/cleaning equipment.
- Maintains adequate supplies needed for sterilization process.
- Facilitates turnover times to promote operating room efficiency.
- Assists with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance, and participates in emergency preparedness drills.
- Follows all equipment and safety guidelines, and is personally responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment.
