About The Position

Responsible for cleaning, assembling and sterilizing all instruments and equipment for all areas of the hospital.

Requirements

• Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent required
• Certification/Licensure: Certification Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Sterile Processing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, assembling and sterilizing all instruments and equipment for all patient care areas of the hospital.
• Retrieve all supplies and equipment as needed from patient care areas and return to Sterile Processing.
• Operate cleaning and sterilization equipment in the department according to manufacturers recommendations
• Effectively communicates, both written and verbal, with co-workers
• Other duties may be assigned by the Sterile Processing Supervisor or the Sterile Processing Manager as necessary to facilitate the functions of the department and hospital.
• Work hours or shifts may be changed as necessary in order to provide adequate staffing for the department.
