About The Position
At Advanced Surgery Center of Metairie, we believe health and care go hand in hand. Our focus is on providing a high-quality, service-oriented environment for every surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and is physician-owned. A list of physician owners or investors is available upon request. We feature 2 operating rooms and 1 treatment room, equipped with advanced technology to support procedures in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, ENT, Podiatry, Pain Management, and Ocular Plastics. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
