About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating activities within the sterile processing department to support patient care demands. This role ensures efficient management of OR supply inventory, proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment, and effective oversight of personnel and resources. The technician maintains productivity standards, upholds quality performance, and ensures all inventory levels remain sufficient for uninterrupted patient care at a cost-effective level. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience working with and leading teams.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an accredited program in Surgical Technology OR a Bachelor’s degree in Surgical Technology
- 2 years of sterile processing experience
- Experience working as a Scrub Tech or Surgical Tech in a hospital setting
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
