Position Summary Under assessment and supervision of the Director of Surgical Procedures and according to established policies and procedures, performs activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical /clinical procedures.

Requirements

  • Maintain CPR Certification
  • Maintain Sterile Processing Certification
  • Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED.
  • Read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
  • LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sterilize, reprocess, and wrap all equipment for Operating Room, Labor & Delivery, Med Surg units, Endo Diagnostic Lab, Emergency Room, Urgent Care facilities and physician practices.
  • Document on sterilization records
  • Check in all daily supplies and put away accordingly
  • Assist OR staff with instrument locations and transport
  • Prepare supply orders for surgical byers
  • Flush eyewash stations and maintain logs
