About The Position

The Sterile Processing Tech position at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is a full-time role, with a schedule from 4pm to 12:30am, located at the Bone & Joint Hospital. The core responsibility of this position involves inspecting, assembling, and evaluating all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure they are properly sterilized, complete, and to identify any needs for repair or replacement.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols.
• Inspects instruments, equipment and containers to assure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems.
• Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
