The Opportunity: Are you meticulous, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring the highest standards of sterilization? We're seeking a skilled Central Service Technician to play a critical role in preparing life-saving instrumentation for patient use on a routine and emergency basis. Your precision ensures patient safety and supports our surgical teams every day! What You'll Do: Process Surgical Instruments: Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital policy. Maintain Sterility Standards: Accurately monitor biological and chemical testing, meticulously documenting results and following up on any deviations. Prepare for Procedures: Efficiently pick, assemble, and deliver case carts with the necessary instruments for surgical cases, prioritizing urgent needs to prevent delays. Manage Inventory & Supplies: Process unused supplies, ensuring accurate charges and documentation. Support & Communicate: Handle incoming calls from the Operating Room and direct inquiries, providing excellent service to internal teams.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Central Service Technician Certificate or may obtain this certification within 2 years of employment.
- Prefer experience in Medical field
