About The Position

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Requirements

• Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course
• 1+ years of experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Trauma experience preferred
• National certification required within 12 months of being hired
• Required certifications include Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD) from Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
