About The Position
Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region's best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation. This is a benefited, full time position generally working Tuesday-Thursday from 8:15pm-7am and Friday from 9:15pm-7am. No weekends. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines (La Jolla). Requirements
- Completion of college training program for SPD or online study program or completion of formal on the job training program.
- Knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instrumentation, and medical equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD Certification.
- One year of experience in SPD in lieu of certification acceptable upon hire, OR hired into Scripps Sterile Processing Tech Transition Program, but CRCST or CBSPD Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

- Be responsible for the cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies used for patient care.
