Under the direction of SPD leadership the incumbent assists in carrying out the responsibilities for the overall workflow of the shift. Incumbent decontaminates, operationally checks, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment throughout the Medical Center. Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties and assists in the training of other Sterile Processing Technicians. Incumbent troubleshoots equipment, instruments and customer issues. Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment and computer systems related to these duties. Incumbent participates in performance improvement planning and implementation. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $37.60 - $47.12 (Hourly Rate).
