About The Position

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician position at AdventHealth involves providing thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized instrument trays and equipment to the operating room and other departments. This role is essential in ensuring that all steps in the reprocessing cycle are followed according to manufacturer instructions, and it offers the flexibility of contract assignments across multiple facilities.

Requirements

• Experience in the sterile processing environment or graduate of a surgical technology program or military training program.
• Two years' experience working in Sterile Processing or a surgical-related field preferred.
• Certification in Sterile Processing through HSPA or CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized instrument trays and equipment to the OR and other departments.
• Assemble trays accurately according to established tray lists in Censitrac.
• Use decontamination and sterilization equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot minor issues with sterilization equipment.
• Participate actively in the sterile processing team.
