Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Operating Room Director/Manager of Sterile Processing or designee, the OR Instrument Technician/Sterile Processing cares for the instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in an approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, instruments and processing.
- Completion of formal training program related to instrument processing.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Nice To Haves
- Previous work in Central Processing
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
