Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
• MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in sterile processing or preoperative services as sterile processing technician.
• REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Sterile Processing Technician through CBSPD or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Perioperative standards, sterilization standards and technician experience with computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of accredited Sterile Processing Course preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department.
• The Sterile Processing Supervisor provides for processing instrument trays and other supplies necessary for surgical procedures and for other sterile supplies in the hospital.
