About The Position
Supervisor Sterile Processing at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work Variable shifts as the Supervisor overseeing the department. Under the direction of Sterile Processing Management will carry out the responsibilities for the overall work flow of the shift in Sterile Processing. Directs, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of the Sterile Processing department. Ensures that best practices related to decontamination, sterilization, preparing and packaging of instruments are adhered to by staff. The Supervisor utilizes key performance indicators for trending areas in need of improvement. Requirements
- Coursework/Training Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Upon hire: National Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or Upon hire: National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or Upon hire: National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or Upon hire: National Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Or Upon hire: National Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- 3 years Experience in an acute hospital environment.
- 2 years Experience in a specialty unit.
