The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of the Sterile Processing unit. The Manager serves as liaison between staff and administrative personnel. They work cohesively with Director to develop standards and procedures for providing care and improving quality and efficiencies. They promote strong and effective working relationships with other departments within the facility. The Manager is responsible for oversight of unit from a budgetary stance as well as maintaining timekeeping system, schedules, and accountability records for direct reports. TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility. We offer medical and surgical programs. These include behavioral health and 24-hour emergency. These also include heart and vascular and imaging. These also include neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics, rehabilitation, sleep disorder, and womens services. Requirements

Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) required.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or required within 2 years of hire.
3-5 years of experience in field of supervision or role developing or monitoring quality control and/or standards of practice.
3 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role.

Responsibilities

Develop performance plans, identify performance issues, and manage performance and career development of direct reports.
Approve and contribute to In-service education programs.
Manage and coordinate staffing schedules to ensure proper and safe coverage while maintaining budget requirements.
Coordinate quality efforts for unit and maintains any company wide goals aligned with the unit/department.
Perform daily rounding in unit(s) to ensure departmental customer and surgeon satisfaction are met as well as visually monitoring employee performance.
Investigate, resolve, and document resolution of complaints or incidents.
Maintain knowledge and follow all TJC, CMS requirements.
Successfully complete annual review and competencies on all employees.
Continually look for performance improvement initiatives.
