About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. Pay range: - Salary $73,320.00 - $109,990.00 Overlake is searching for a Surgical Processing Educator to provide instruction and support on topics related to Surgical Processing Technicians. This is a temporary position to cover a leave of absence.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED (or higher) required.
You must hold both the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certifications or the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) and the Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) certifications.
Current CRCST or CSPDT is required upon hire. If not CER/CFER certified, this credential must be obtained within six months of hire date.
At least 5 years experience in a Sterile Processing Department with at least one year as an educator in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Onboard new hires
Assess competency
Participate in annual skills fairs
Conduct ongoing skills assessments for new equipment, standards and regulatory updates
Participate in hiring new staff
Help with preparations for JC and DOH surveys
Collaborate with our Perioperative clinical educator
