Role Summary: Develops Sterile Processing educational programs regarding proper decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization methods. Collaborates with Sterile Processing Departments (SPD) to ensure Sterile Processing staff are properly trained and operating within the guidelines set forth by various industry standards and regulations including, but not limited to HSPA, CBSPD, AORN, The Joint Commission, FDA, CDC, OSHA, and AAMI.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician through an accredited organization.
• 3-5 years acute clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's in a healthcare related field preferred.
• Four years in Sterile Processing; supervisory or educator role experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications: CRSCT, HSPA, CBSPD, NBSTSA, ASPT.

Responsibilities

• Develop Sterile Processing educational programs regarding proper decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization methods.
• Collaborate with Sterile Processing Departments (SPD) to ensure staff are properly trained.
• Ensure operations are within the guidelines set forth by various industry standards and regulations.
