About The Position
Rome Health is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring that surgical instruments, devices, and equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, prepared, and packaged for safe patient care. Rome Health offers a supportive environment and is committed to training the right candidate to succeed, even if they have not yet obtained the required certification.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols consistently
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to safety and patient care
- Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments, devices, and equipment
- Inspect, assemble, and package instruments following established safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes
- Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in flexible scheduling, including on-call, rotating weekends, nights, and holidays
