About The Position

Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Coordinator to oversee daily sterile processing operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role provides hands-on leadership to sterile processing staff and ensures the proper reprocessing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role (healthcare or manufacturing)
• Strong knowledge of sterilization processes, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with surgical instruments and medical device reprocessing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and timekeeping systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Required)

Nice To Haves

• College degree or 3+ years of leadership experience (Preferred)
• CIS – Certified Instrument Specialist (Preferred)
• HSPA-CHL – Healthcare Leadership Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily sterile processing operations and technician workflows
• Ensure proper cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments
• Maintain compliance with infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and regulatory standards
• Provide staff guidance, training, and performance support
• Monitor quality assurance, workflow efficiency, and documentation
• Coordinate with clinical teams to support surgical services
