We’re hiring an experienced Sterile Processing Account Specialist to support a dedicated healthcare facility in the Charlottesville area. This is a clinical, field-based role designed for seasoned SPD professionals who want more ownership, visibility, and long-term career growth without leaving healthcare. What You’ll Do Own SPD Performance at the Account Level • Partner daily with SPD, OR, materials, and leadership teams • Serve as the on-site subject matter expert for tray readiness, utilization, and system performance • Oversee tray setup, audits, tracking, and OR readiness • Troubleshoot issues before they impact cases Improve Efficiency, Not Just Process Trays • Identify opportunities to reduce turnaround times, errors, and delays • Support tray optimization, standardization, and redesign initiatives • Monitor workflows and deliver real, actionable improvements Educate, Support & Elevate Teams • Lead hands-on training and in-services for SPD and OR teams • Reinforce best practices, compliance, and quality standards • Act as a trusted daily resource - not a rotating vendor Build Long-Term Hospital Partnerships • Develop strong working relationships with techs, supervisors, managers, and surgeons • Track metrics tied to efficiency, utilization, and performance • Support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives Who Thrives in This Role Ready to Take the Next Step? Requirements

5+ years in Sterile Processing, Central Services, OR, or surgical services
Deep understanding of instrumentation, trays, and SPD workflows
Comfortable working hands-on in clinical environments
Organized, reliable, proactive, and process-driven
Strong communicator who earns trust on the floor
Comfortable supporting a hospital account

Nice To Haves

Senior SPD Tech, Lead Tech, Supervisor, Educator, or Manager
Certified Surgical Technologist with strong instrumentation exposure
OR Liaison or clinical support role
Associate Medical Device Rep with strong hospital presence
CRCST / CBSPD / CST strongly preferred
Associate’s degree a plus, not required
Experience with instrument tracking or quality systems is a bonus
