About The Position

VPI Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a focused, dependable, and hands-on individual to join our cleanroom production team as a Sterile Filling Assistant. In this role, you’ll be responsible for filtering prepped solutions into vials or bags with precision, ensuring accuracy, sterility, and compliance at every step. No prior pharmacy experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and will reimburse the cost of your Provisional Pharmacy Technician License, so you can get started without any out-of-pocket certification costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate or learn to use sterile pumps and filtering equipment
  • Familiarity with Elab or similar systems preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Must be willing to obtain a Provisional License upon hire if you do not currently hold an active Provisional or Pharmacy Technician License
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must meet all cleanroom hygiene, gowning, and entry requirements.
  • Must be comfortable working in a Cleanroom Environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Filtering Solutions Filter prepared solutions into vials or bags with precision and consistency. Ensure proper handling of materials to meet sterile processing standards.
  • Equipment Operation Operate and maintain filling pumps, filters, and other related equipment. Use the Electric Lab (Elab) system to scan and track materials.
  • Documentation Record equipment details, filter lot numbers, vial lots, and expiration dates accurately. Submit completed documentation for review after initial inspection.
  • Inspection and Quality Control Conduct visual inspections of filtered products for quality assurance. Assist with surface sampling and other quality control procedures as needed.
  • Material Coordination Collaborate with the Cleanroom Apprentice and other team members to ensure timely material supply and transfer.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance Perform routine cleaning of equipment, syringes, vials, and workstations according to established protocols.
  • Team Collaboration Work closely with the filtering lead and production team to maintain workflow efficiency and meet production targets.
