Requirements

• Experience working on projects ranging from $100,000 to $5 million
• Advanced computer skills with estimating software
• Effective presentation skills
• Advanced computer skills with MS Office
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
• Understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metal concepts

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Coordinate a team to develop an estimate
• Determine labor and equipment costs
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
• Understand project logistics and project schedule
• Assess project risks based on bid documents
• Review quotes and estimates with the project team
• Prepare estimates at different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
• Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meetings with owners, clients, and engineers
• Serve as the company interface between owner and architect
• Develop leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subs, and project team
