About The Position

STEAM K-5 Teacher District Location: Multiple Elementary Schools Reports To : Building Principal Salary : Per the FHEA Master Agreement Salary Schedule Schedule: Beginning with the 2026 -2027 School Year Job Summary: Work with students to develop science knowledge and skills that are fundamental to their success; to discover and develop special talents of students in the field of science.

Requirements

• State of Michigan Teacher Certification required
• ZG endorsement required

Responsibilities

• Successfully educate students on state and district standards.
• Consistent planning and delivery of effective instruction aligned with the district-provided curriculum.
• Implement strategies to enhance students’ learning.
• Regularly assess students' proficiency levels and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Foster respect and understanding among students of all backgrounds.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents/guardians.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional strategies.
• Develop standards for critical analysis through group discussions.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
