About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of work experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
• One (1) year of work experience in a position comparable to the Steam and Power Plant III.
• Possession of the current/valid licenses and certificates, as required by the employing institution (Stationary Engineer's License and a Universal Card).

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant operating engineers and other assigned personnel, including timecard approval.
• Select and requisition replacement parts for equipment.
• Assist and train in the proper operation of power plant electrical generating equipment, refrigeration equipment, pumps, compressors, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Determine work required by other trades and set up necessary work orders.
• Operate energy management systems, read and check gauges, meters, and thermometers.
• Assist in formulating and carrying out a preventive maintenance program.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
