About The Position

Steakhouse Expo/Food Runner , efficiently delivers food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables, acting as a liaison between the kitchen staff and servers, ensuring timely service and accurate order delivery while maintaining communication with both teams to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Six months to one year experience in a high volume full service restaurant is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Upbeat and positive personality, Patient and warm demeanor.
  • Must be a team player with the desire to assist all co-workers.
  • Quick learner.
  • Ability to carry trays with food or dishes that can weigh 10 to 20 pounds and carry it with one hand in the upright position,balanced on one shoulder for approximately 20 to 30 feet.
  • The ability to memorize daily specials and answer questions concerning casino promotions.
  • Maintain a clean uniform and personal appearance.
  • Must be punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Must adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to write and speak fluent English.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Ability to apply simple math.

Responsibilities

  • Checks orders for accuracy
  • Quickly and accurately transport prepared food from the kitchen to the guest table, to the correct seat number.
  • Describe in detail tastes and texture of menu items.
  • Communicate with kitchen and co-workers regarding length of wait, re-cook orders and any food allergies or dietary needs.
  • Assist waitstaff with any additional tasks as needed.
  • Double-check food orders against tickets to ensure accuracy before serving.
  • Maintains a neat, clean and orderly Expo line.
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, and any issues with dishes.
  • Anticipates guest needs.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by management.
  • Place food items on tables properly, ensuring correct presentation.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards.
  • Serve food and beverage in a cheerful, efficient manner and in accordance with our standards.
  • Maintain customer service standards applicable in the restaurant.
  • Maintain strict confidence regarding company related matters.
  • Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out on time according to work schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining the personal hygiene standards set down by the Food and Beverage Director.
  • Responsible for keeping work station and floor stations as clean as possible at all times.
  • Performs related and/or other duties as required.
